The Dwindling House of Holland

The Dwindling House of Holland

A Ghost Walk in association with Opera Holland Park’s “The Turn of the Screw”

A double bill of chills – Britten’s taut, brilliant opera The Turn of the Screw followed by an eerie night tour into the dark heart of Holland Park…

Investec Opera Holland Park and ImmerCity are pleased to present a unique double-bill of opera and immersive theatre as part of OHP’s first ever production of a Britten opera.

Britten’s The Turn of the Screw, based on the classic Henry James novella, is a taut, musically brilliant and deeply psychological drama that tells the story of a governess and her two young charges at the bleak, Bly House. The ghosts of the past emerge to wreak havoc and the work is among the greatest British musical stage works ever composed.

After a night of music and coruscating theatre, perhaps you’ll be ready for more? After a steadying drink at the end of the opera, why not join us for an eerie tour through the hauntingly beautiful park itself. Dare to venture down the dark avenues, swallowed by the shadows, as visions from 350 years of history are awakened around you. Sinister tales of the dwindling families of Holland Park by the masters of immersive experiences, Immercity.
